Dan Beery, '00 - B.S. in Secondary Education
Four years ago in 2004, UTC alumnus Dan Beery ('00) stood on the podium with his 8-member crew after winning the gold medal 8x sweep rowing event at the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece. Three years later, Beery once again found himself listening to the USA National Anthem after he and his 5-member crew took the gold medal in the men's coxed four (4+) event at the 2007 World Rowing Championships in Munich, Germany. ... more

Laura McKee, '02 - B.A. in Humanities
Laura McKee's passion for writing and poetry, which in her words was fueled in part by her instructors at UTC, has led her across the globe. And recently her ambitious pursuit of writing poetry landed her one of ten positions (out of 1,400 applicants) in the prestigious Stegner Fellowship Program at Stanford University. Nicu Nastase, '98 - B.S. Accounting
Eight years ago, Nicu Nastase gained a berth in the U.S. Amateur Public Links qualifying tournament when the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga senior made par on the second hole of a sudden-death playoff. Pam Ross, '87 - B.A. Chemistry Pre-Medicine
Dr. Pamela Ross enjoyed a close relationship with faculty during her undergraduate experience at UTC. In July 2004, Dr. Ross was promoted to Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine & Pediatrics.
