DINNER WITH 12 STRANGERS

Dinner with 12 Strangers is an award winning program run through the UTC Student Alumni Council. Based on a simple idea, the program involves local alumni who host dinners in their homes for students, faculty and fellow alumni in an effort to make UTC a smaller, friendlier place.

UTC alumni will host students and professors in their homes for an evening of good food, good conversation and UTC hospitality. By the end of the evening, 12 strangers have become 12 friends.

The goal is to bridge the gap between students and alumni. Faculty members are invited to help facilitate discussions. This is an excellent opportunity to make new friends and valuable connections. Alumni can serve simple pizza or they can do a home cooked meal, it is up to each alum host.  The host or co-hosts are responsible for the evening’s food and beverages.

As we begin our dinners we would like to match our students within their major fields of study, professors in their fields and alumni in that particular profession.  If you would be interested in hosting or co-hosting “Dinner with 12 Strangers” please fill out the Dinner with 12 Strangers Alumni Host Form and fax it to the Alumni office at 423/425-5277.
