On Campus Breakfast - February 12, 2007

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Alumni Board of Directors recently hosted an on campus “Breakfast with the Chancellor” event on February 12, 2007. Chancellor Roger Brown presented guests with information regarding the upcoming strategic planning process of which the University will be a part in 2007. He also shared the "We Shall Achieve" video that has received much praise. Guests attending included Fletcher Bright, Paul Brock of River City Company, Chief Freeman Cooper of the Chattanooga Police Department, Harvey Hillyer of Benchmark Physical Therapy, Marcus Hulsey of Chattanooga Outventure, Darrin Ledford of Image Works Printing, Ansel Peak of Big Brothers Big Sisters, Dr. Jim Scales of the Hamilton County Department of Education, Arch Trimble of BBT, Huffaker & Trimble, Alumni Board members David Fussell, Erik Gray, Debbie Ingram, Preston Rogers, and Kim White.

TVA

The first breakfast was held at the downtown TVA complex and invited guests included UTC alums who are employed by TVA, and UTC department representatives from The College of Business, The SimCenter, The Graduate School, The College of Engineering, and the UTC Placement Center. Chancellor Roger Brown presented a campus update to the guests, and Diane Bunch, TVA Senior Vice President and UTC alum, also spoke. Following the program, TVA presented a check to the College of Engineering.

Memorial Hospital

UTC alumni who are employees at Memorial Hospital were also recognized at a breakfast held at The Chattanooga Heart Institute. Dr. Brown thanked Memorial Hospital for the support given to The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and recognized the ways in which the hospital partners with the University. Ruth Brinkley, President and CEO of Memorial Hospital and former chair of the UTC Chancellor’s Roundtable, also spoke to the group. Departments represented at the Memorial Hospital breakfast included the Physical Therapy, School of Nursing, The College of Business, The Graduate School, and the UTC Placement Office. David Fussell, UTC Alumni Board President, hosted these events.
