Dear Fellow Alumni,
You could get up before the sun, lug a bucket of seed around a yard, and tip toe around gifts left by feathered friends.
We're just asking you to feed The Bird.
As alumni, we have a tremendous opportunity and responsibility. In an unprecedented move, the UTC administration has given your Alumni Board $50,000 to strengthen alumni connections to campus. You've already seen efforts to increase alumni communication through the publication of a four-color magazine and the creation of an on-line newsletter.
We have to respond and let the alumni effect be counted. Alumni support is one of the central criteria in many national rankings, including the much reported U.S. News and World Report, and we want to do everything possible to keep our alma mater's rankings strong.
Every dollar given stays on our Chattanooga campus for:
• Scholarships to support students
• Professorships to reward outstanding teaching
• Academic program enhancement
• Athletic program support
Now our challenge is to show this was a good investment and raise even more than $50,000.
So help us feather Scrappy's nest. Please consider becoming a Chattanooga Bird Feeder by making a gift this year.
