LEGENDS & LEADERS
Each year the Alumni community comes together to celebrate and recognize the outstanding accomplishments of the recipients of the two highest honors bestowed on a UTC alumnus/a at the annual Legends and Leaders dinner. The two honors are that of Outstanding Service Award and the Distinguished Alumnus Award. Nominations for these awards are welcome. These awards are to recognize those who have made significant contributions to the community and society (Outstanding Service) and whose accomplishments and career activities have reflected glory on UTC (Distinguished Alumni). See below for the process to nominate someone for one of these awards.
2011 Legends & Leaders - Coming Soon
The nomination process for the 2011 Distinguished Alumnus/a and Outstanding Service Awards is now closed. Nominations for the 2012 awards are now being accepted and are open to the general public. Anyone can nominate an alumnus/a for the Distinguished Alumni award and a UTC supporter for the Outstanding Service Award. Mr. Pearson and Mr. Davenport were honored at the 2010 UTC Legends and Leaders honor banquet on May 7, 2010, at the Chattanooga Golf and Country Club.
ATHLETICS HALL OF FAME
The UTC Athletics Office and the UTC Office of Alumni Affairs also honor individuals who have showed great accomplishments within the athletics arena. Each year, former Mocs athletes and supporters are inducted into the UTC Athletics Hall of Fame. For more information, please click here.UTC Outstanding Teacher Award
Each year, two members of the University faculty are selected by students and faculty peers to receive University of Tennessee Alumni Association's Outstanding Service Award. The awards are given to faculty who have demonstrated a passion for teaching, a commitment to their students, and a dedication to higher education. A portion of these awards are generated from donations from alumni and friends for the Fund for the Future. Each OTA recipient receives a $1,000 stipend award.

Dr. Kovach and Dr. Symes were honored during the 2010 UTAA Board of Governors Summer Meeting on June 25, 2010 in Knoxville, TN.
