Help us Complete the Dream
for a New Alumni Home
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga has a dream to build a state-of-the-art alumni center for our alumni and friends of Chattanooga's University. This dream began years ago with the vision to give the alumni of this campus a place to always call home.
Over the years and with the help of several alumni and friends of the University, the effort of creating an alumni home went from a dream to taking the initial steps of seeing it become a reality. When in 1997 Finley Stadium was built to serve as home field for our Mocs football team, the stadium buildings surrounding Chamberlain Field were left somewhat unattended. In the past few years, generous contributions from alumni allowed The University to acquire architectural plans for a new alumni center to be constructed in the site of South Stadium (above).

Purpose of the Alumni Commons
Our vision is to have a structure that serves several purposes:
House the offices for the alumni affairs department and student alumni programs
Offer meeting spaces for alumni, student alumni groups and visitors
Showcase the traditions and history of The University
Serve as a visitor center in the heart of the UTC campus to help visually tell the UTC story
Provide a gallery for alumni artists and current students to show their work
Host the UTC Athletics Hall of Fame
Honor the accomplishments of our distinguished and outstanding alumni
Serve as a gathering place for social affairs sponsored by staff, faculty and friends of The University
Give a place where alumni always feel welcome at their University home
