Areas of Responsibility
I advise freshman students throughout their first year who are classified as pre-majors (undecided). I also teach several sections of our freshmen seminar course (USTU 1250), which is designed to help with their transition from high school to college.

Advising Philosophy
I thoroughly enjoy working with various student populations and assisting them in addressing their specific academic needs. First-generation college students may or may not be familiar with the college process. However, they should still have access to the tools and resources required for academic success. I thrive from assisting students realize their untapped potential, and being a part of that growth process is extremely fulfilling. I function from a strong belief of empowerment, being accessible, and cultivating resources to provide my students with the “academic capital” needed for them to be proactive and successful.
