What is an Academic Interest Questionnaire (AIQ)?
It is a survey designed to gather information necessary to properly build your Fall 2013 schedule.
How will I be registered for my classes?
Faculty and Academic Advisors will create a Fall 2013 course schedule for all first year students. Courses will be selected for you based on your intended major (as indicated from your Academic Interest Questionnaire), your placement scores, and information you provide for us in the survey.
When can I see my schedule?
You will be given a copy of your Fall 2013 schedule at Orientation where you will have the opportunity to speak with an experienced academic advisor about your schedule.
Can I change my schedule?
There will be an opportunity to change your schedule at orientation.
What if I have changed my mind about my major since filling out my application to UTC?
When you applied to UTC, you listed a major to pursue while you’re here. If you have changed your mind, you can follow a new path. Please complete the AIQ related to the major you want to pursue at this time.
Can I fill out more than one AIQ?
No. Please complete the AIQ related to the major you want to pursue at this time.
What if I have commitments that may affect my schedule?
There is a place within the AIQ where you can list commitments.
What if I have Dual Enrollment, AP Credit, or IB Credit?
You can list in the AIQ any Dual Enrollment, AP Credit, or IB Credit you may receive.
When will I be able to meet with an Academic Advisor?
You will have the opportunity to speak with an academic advisor at Orientation.
How do I know that my AIQ has been submitted?
When you get to the last page of the AIQ you will see a SUBMIT button. Clicks SUBMIT and you will be taken to a page indicating your survey has been submitted.
What if I took the SAT? How will I know what math class I placed in to?
