Tutoring Program
The Adult Services Center offers FREE one-on-one tutoring to all students during the fall and spring semesters. Tutoring is available for:
- Math 105, 106, 123, 131, 144, 145, 151, 161, 210, 212, 245, 255
- Biology 121, 122, 191
- Chemistry 121, 122
- Physics 103, 104, 230, 231, 232
- Statistics I course (in several different disciplines)
Appointments for tutoring can be made by signing up in the Adult Services Center, 361 University Center, or by calling Heather Heinlein at (423) 425-4485. Sign ups begin every Thursday morning at 11 a.m. for the following week and appointments are first come, first served. It is advisable to sign up as early as possible, as appointments tend to fill up quickly, especially around midterms and finals.
Tutoring sessions are conducted in the Adult Services Center and last for approximately one hour. Failing to show up for a tutoring appointment or canceling within 24 hours of an appointment will result in the student being unable to schedule a tutoring session for one week. Failing to show up for three sessions without notice will result in the student no longer being allowed to schedule tutoring appointments.
