Freshman Checklist
Cover all your bases and meet all of the deadlines with this easy reference.
- Admissions
- Submit a complete admissions file by June 1* (incoming Freshmen)
- Complete an application for admission
- Submit the application fee ($30 non-refundable)
- Get your current high school or college transcript sent to Admissions
- Get your ACT or SAT scores sent to Admissions
- Financial Aid and Scholarships
- For UTC scholarships, complete the admissions application process by February 1.
- For other financial aid, complete the Federal Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by April 1.
- For the Tennessee HOPE Lottery Scholarship, complete the FAFSA by May 1.
- Immunization
- Complete the certificate of immunization and return to University Health Services. Call Student Development at (423)425-4761 for assistance.
- Housing
- Begin on-line application for on-campus housing
- After you receive email notification, complete the housing application
- Reserve a room
- Choose a meal plan
- Orientation
- Attend orientation to register for classes
- Other Things to Remember
- Are you going to need parking on campus?
- Buying your books once you're registered.
* Deadline for scholarships is February 1.
