The Roberta M. "Bobbie" Yates Scholarships were
established in 1998 to honor Mrs. Yates by a bequest from the estate
of her husband, Arthur E. Yates, an alumnus of UT and president
of the Yates Bleachery Company of Flintstone, GA. The Yates Scholarships
are awarded to University Honors students with financial need.
