UHON Cultural Trip 2000
London, England

The purpose of the London trip was to enrich students' understanding of English art, architecture, music, literature and history and their impact on our own culture and history. A major highlight of the trip was a behind-the-scenes tour of the reconstructed Globe Theatre, followed by attendance at a performance of The Tempest.

Some other highlights of our intinerary:

  • St. Paul's Cathedral (dome pictured in background at left) 
  • Tower of London Yeoman Warder's Tour 
  • British Museum, including the Rosetta Stone, the Parthenon sculptures and the Sutton Hoo Ship burial relics
  • Houses of Parliament and Big Ben
