UHON Freshman Admission
Fall 2012 Freshmen
The deadline for application to the UHON Program for fall 2012 freshmen was 12/1/2011.
We cannot consider any late applications this year because we have no more space in our freshman class.
Students who did not apply for UHON freshman admission by the deadline or were not admitted through our regular UHON freshman application process may apply for associate membership after they have completed 24 hours of graded college course work (essentially after the freshman year), if they have a cumulative college GPA of 3.5 at that time. See the Associate page for more information on this option.
Fall 2013 Freshmen
Application and Selection
We are currently revising our application forms. We hope to have applications for Fall 2013 available on this website in late June. If you wish to have a paper form mailed to you at that time, please email univhon@utc.edu.
We are looking for students who are exceptional both in and out of the classroom, and our applicant pool is larger and more competitive every year. Therefore, it is essential to submit the UHON application by the December 1, 2012 postmark deadline to be considered for UHON admission.

All students in our UHON freshman class for Fall 2012 qualified for at least a Provost's Scholarship. About 2/3 of them qualified for the Chancellor's Scholarship.
While we do not have a "cut-off" score for ACT/SAT or high school GPA, those factors are an important part of our selection process, and applicants with significantly lower numbers than the averages listed above are unlikely to be competitive. (The accepted students with the lowest test scores presented higher GPAs, and vice versa.)
If you're planning to retest for the ACT or SAT in order to improve your score, your new scores will need to be available by the Dec. 1 deadline to be counted toward the decision on your UHON application. |
