Biography
Patricia Gaye Switzer was born in Long Beach, Mississippi in 1936 and raised there. She married Fred Boatner in 1954, then the family relocated to Lenoir City, Tennessee in the 1970's, where she stayed until her death. Boatner was a journalist and author who wrote fiction, poetry, and drama. She served as President of the Gulf Coast Writers Association, served on the Board of Tennessee Mountain Writers, Inc. and as chairman for their Writers Conference, and was a member of the Knoxville Writers Guild and the East Tennessee Writers. She passed away on October 30, 2008.
