THE SOCIAL WORK DEPARTMENT WAS THE RECEIPIENT OF A $350, 000 GRANT IN 2007 TO COLLABORATE WITH THE STATE OF TN DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN'S SERVICES TO PROVIDE TRAINING FOR FOSTER PARENTS.  THE CHILD WELFARE TRAINING STAFF INFORMATION CAN BE FOUND BY CLICKING HERE.

Kellie moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee five years ago from State College, Pennsylvania where she was born and raised. For the past five years she has worked for a local staffing firm as a staff coordinator and office manager. Before moving to Chattanooga, she was employed for over a decade at Penn State University the University Park Campus.  While employed at Penn State she was the graduate and undergraduate student secretary for the Department of Statistics. She was the graduate liaison and undergraduate secretary for the Women’s Studies Program. She was also employed as an administrative assistant for seven researchers in the University’s Development office and I ran the computer helpdesk for Alumni and Development.

She lives in Hixson where she and her fiancée, George, are restoring an old row house. Kellie enjoys scuba diving, quilting, cross-stitching, and getting a room in the house done. She has three teenaged daughters: one is enrolled at Penn State, one is home-schooled and taking classes at Penn State, and the youngest is home-schooled.
