Program Orientation
A program orientation will be held at the beginning of each fall semester. The orientation is mandatory and will be scheduled on a Wednesday evening classes do not meet. It will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Introductions of students, faculty, LEA partners, mentors, and program support people
- Review of the student handbook
- Explanation of the field experience requirements and practicum project
- Explanation of the checkpoints
- Organization of the mentor/protégé relationships
- Introduction to the UTC Campus, Lupton Library and UTC OnLine for students for whom this is necessary
