Dr. Ourth's interests are primarily in organizational issues and cross-sex friendship. Dr. Ourth was instrumental in founding the program in 1975 and served as coordinator for 15 years. His current research includes investigating alternative selection methods for older, working persons pursuing a graduate education and a longitudinal study of self-esteem in the workplace.
