                                               Psy.D. Program at Marshall University

UTC Psychology majors might want to become aware of opportunities in the doctoral Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) program at Marshall University. Dr. David Pittenger, former head of the UTC Psychology Department, will soon be moving to Marshall, and he recently sent an email to the current department head encouraging departmental majors to explore the opportunities at Marshall. In his email, Dr. Pittenger said:

"As you know, I am leaving UTC to become Dean of the College of Liberal Arts at Marshall University. Although I will no longer be a member of the UTC community, I hope to maintain my ties, especially with the Department of Psychology. I know first hand that the department produces well trained and talented scholars who can be successful in any venue. To that end, I invite all UTC psychology majors who are interested in a career in clinical psychology to consider the Psy.D. program at Marshall University. Students can learn more about the program at http://www.marshall.edu/psych/psyd.htm . In addition to providing students with a solid education and many clinical training programs, the department offers a number for financial assistance packages to help students complete their degree."

For those of you interested in pursuing an advanced degree in Clinical Psychology, you should remember to check the Marshall web site as you prepare to apply for graduate school.
