General Information:

Chattanooga is a medium sized city located on the Southeastern corner of Tennessee, just north of Georgia.  It is situated perfectly between Atlanta, Knoxville, Nashville and Birmingham and is just about the same distance from all four of those major cities, about an hour and a half drive.

Chattanooga has for a long time been considered "The Gateway to the South"  It is at the crossroads of the railroads, major highways, and the Tennessee River.  In recent years it has been completely reborn in a transformation that has also earned it the nickname "The Smartest City".  You can add those great nicknames to it's two existing ones "The Scenic City" and "The City of Lights".

Here in Chattanooga you can find both Rock City and Ruby Falls as well as the world renown Tennessee Freshwater Aquarium, the Creative Discovery Museum, and the 3D Imax Theatre.  And of course the famous Chattanooga ChooChoo is here as well.

Living in Chattanooga:

The Chattanooga area is a really gorgeous area to live in.  It is nestled between Missionary Ridge, Lookout Mountain and Signal Mountain.  All three of these locations were extremely important during the Civil War and served purposes much like their names suggest.

It is an extremely clean city that has virtually no traffic problems.  Speaking as someone who comes from an area with significantly more traffic, being in a location where fifteen minutes is considered a long drive is quite a nice change.

There is plenty to do here as well.  There are a number of parks and recreational areas that were created during Chattanooga's turn around, as well as numerous outdoor recreational opportunities such as whitewater rafting, hiking, hang gliding, bike trails, and much more.  Living in an area dominated by rivers and mountains certainly has it's perks.

For those that prefer to stay indoors there are at last count four malls and several night clubs as well as dozens of restaurants.
