UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM

The UTC Department of Political Science, Public Administration & Nonprofit Management offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science with concentrations in American Studies , International and Comparative Studies, Legal Studies, Public Policy, and Public Administration and Nonprofit Management.

For all of the available concentrations, there are three required Political Science courses.  These courses include:

 

 

American Government (POLS 1010);

World Politics (POLS 1020); and

Research Methods (POLS 2000).

 

The Department offers minors in Political Science and Public Administration and Nonprofit Management

 

To graduate, students must complete UTC's General Education requirements, which include:

    1. Completing the major requirements in one of the concentrations;
    2. Completing the requirements for a minor outside the department;
    3. Fulfilling the University requirement of 120 credit hours for graduation; and
    4. Achieving at least a 2.0 Grade Point Average both overall and in major courses in all courses taken at UTC.

INTERNSHIP

To aid students in their educational journey the Department offers many internship opportunities. These internships are critical for students in giving them insights into their chosen field of study.
