Dr. Ralph Anderson

Dr. Anderson

  • Doctor of Philosophy in Anthropology (1976) - University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee

Dr. Anderson has nine years experience in Nonprofit Administration holding positions including Executive Director, Director of Research and Development and Senior Planner and has been on the faculty at UTC since 1982.

Dr. Anderson received the first O'bear Distinguished Teaching Professor Teaching and Advising Awards from the now dissolved College of Health and Human Services and was a UTC Walker Center Teaching and Technology Fellow.

Dr. Anderson has a long term commitment to community nonprofits including membership on many boards of directors and staff and board consulting.  Received the 2007 Greater Chattanooga Area United Way Volunteer of the Year Award.

Research Interests

Early body of research and publication was concentrated on homelessness. Numerous local evaluation research projects the most recent being an evaluation of the Cleveland, TN Weed and Seed Program.
