
Dr. Irina Khmelko
Assistant Professor of Political Science
Irina S. Khmelko is an Assistant Professor and PANM Coordinator in the Department of Political Science, Nonprofit Management, and Public Administration at the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga. She also serves as the Director for Research for the Research Committee of Legislative Specialists of the International Political Science Association. She received a Joint Ph.D. in Public Policy and Political Science from the School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) and the Department of Political Science at Indiana University, Bloomington, USA. She also holds an MPA (Master of Public Administration) from Bowling Green State University, USA and an MA (Master of Arts) in Society and Politics from Lancaster University, UK. Her research interests lie in the fields of legislative studies and democratic nation building with regional focus on post-communist countries.
