The Department of Physics, Geology, and Astronomy has files of
materials on graduate schools and career opportunities. Please see Mrs. Kelley
Veazey in the Physics and Astronomy office at Grote Hall, and Mrs. Kelly Locke
in the Geology office at Bretske Hall and they will be happy to direct you to
the files.
The UTC Placement Office, Room 315, University Center, has an
experienced staff that is anxious to help Geology and physics BS's find
positions. They maintain current issues of a number employment journals and
lists that indicate jobs nationally, regionally, and locally for graduates with
BS degrees, including the Geology and Physics. The Placement Office also helps
students to prepare resumes and to train for successful interviews.
Many graduates of the department continue their education in
post-graduate schools.
