LIGHT POLLUTION ... If you can see the glare from the lamp, this is a wasteful light fixture. More than 50% of the light is wasted lighting the sky and shinning in your eyes causing night blindness. With the on set of night blindness from glare, more of these bad fixtures have to be used to light up the dark areas created and on and on...... There are over 50,000 of these fixtures over the streets of Chattanooga at approxamatly $500( +pole) or more each plus a $20 maintinance fee per month. Who pays for this? You do!
