UTC Teams up with Three Universities in Research
UTC Physical Therapy faculty recently teamed up with the University of Vienna, the University of Central Lancashire, and Michigan State University in publishing two studies on motion analysis. Dr. David Levine has written books with faculty from Vienna and Central Lancashire, and when a special issue on motion analysis in animals was slated for the journal Veterinary Medicine Austria the schools teamed up to publish two papers. Drs. Randy Walker and Barry Dale from UTC were also authors in these studies.
A Comparison of Human and Canine Kinematics During Level Walking, Stair Ascent, and Stair Descent compared how people and dogs walk during these activities in 3D, and Motion Analysis and its use in Equine Practice and Research was a review paper detailing the use of motion analysis in horses.
