Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited diploma or associate degree nursing program and current RN licensure
  • Show eligibility to return to the last educational institution and meet UTC continuation standards (see UTC undergraduate catalog at www.utc.edu/catalogs/).
  • Show a “C” (2.0) average on all postsecondary (college) courses.

Summary of Gateway Application Process

More detailed information is available in the Gateway Applicant Guides (MS Word format) for both the hybrid and completely online options.

  1. Enroll in the University. An application is available online at www.utc.edu/Administration/Admissions/. The UTC Admission Deadlines:
    • Fall -- August 1
    • Spring -- December 1
    • Summer -- April 15
    All documents, including transcripts, must be received by Admissions by these dates.
  2. Meet with an advisor in the School of Nursing (see below).
  3. Complete the Gateway application to apply to the program.
