Purpose: To help high school musicians prepare for regional and All-State Jazz Band auditions

Eligibility: Anyone interested in auditioning for regional or All-State Jazz Bands or anyone who wants to learn more about jazz

When:

• Wednesday, Oct. 17, 7-9 PM: Saxes, Trumpets, Trombones
• Thursday, Oct. 18, 7-9 PM: Bass, Guitar, Drum set, Piano, Aux. Percussion

Where: Everyone will meet in room 100 of the Fine Arts Center, then split off into different rooms.

Clinicians:

• Clint Schmitt, saxophone
• Erika L. Schafer, trumpet
• Rich Stichler, trombone
• Monte Coulter, drum set and auxiliary percussion
• Robert Crabtree, piano
• Jay Stanfill, bass
• David Pedigo, guitar

What to bring: Instrument, required audition pieces (available from your band director)

Drumset players: bringing a drumset is optional. If you would like to play simultaneously with Dr. Coulter you can bring one.

It is highly recommended that you practice the audition music prior to attending the clinic, but this is not required.

Enter the Fine Arts Center through the doors on the southeast side of the building via the parking lot at the northwest corner of Palmetto Street and Oak Street. Once you enter the building, make an immediate right and follow the hallway around to room 100 (will be on your left).

Parking is available in any yellow lot or in the visitors' parking garage on 5th Street. See the following map:
