Sharon Gilley Grant Memorial Scholarship
The Department of Music of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga announces the Sharon Gilley Grant Memorial Scholarship auditions. A $1,000 scholarship for the academic year 2010-2011 will be awarded to a Bachelor of Music or Master of Music vocal performance, music education, or Bachelor of Arts with voice emphasis student who will participate in the UTC Opera Workshop and production work. The scholarship is available to in-coming freshmen through graduate students. See our web site www.utc.edu/Music for more information.
Auditions will be held concurrent with the Music Department Admission/Performance Grant for Undergraduate, Graduate, and Transfer Students on the dates listed below in the Roland Hayes Concert Hall, Fine Arts Center, on the UTC Campus. Applicants should be prepared to sing two songs from the classical literature of arias or art songs. At least one selection must be in English (both selections may be in English).
You may elect to be considered for this scholarship by submitting an entry form specific to the Sharon Gilley Grant Opera Scholarship in addition to your Music Department Admission/Performance Grant audition request.
