Ms. Kile

Nora Kile, a Chattanooga native, earned her B.Mus. and M.Mus. degrees in flute performance from the College-Conservatory of Music of the University of Cincinnati, where she studied with George Hambrecht. She is the flutist for the New Art Trio, and second flute with the Chattanooga Symphony and Opera Orchestra. She is a faculty associate at the Cadek Conservatory of Music at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, a position she has held for 32 years, and on the adjunct faculty for the UTC music department and Southern Adventist University.

Mrs. Kile was recognized as an Outstanding Teacher by the Tennessee Governor's School in 1995 and 2005. She is an active member of the National Flute Association, and is currently serving as their Exhibitors' Showcase Coordinator and Exhibitors' Concert coordinator. She has served on panels for flute choir arranging and has conducted the NFA Professional Flute choir, as well as several flute choir reading sessions at the conventions, and served as coordinator of the reading sessions at the 1995 convention. She is also a member of the National Flute Choir, and has recorded 10 CDs with them. She has several flute choir and chamber music arrangements published by Alry Publications, Little Piper Press, and Falls House Press.
