Eric Anderson serves as Principal Bassoon of the Chattanooga Symphony and Opera, a position he has held since 1996. A native of North Carolina, he studied bassoon with Ben Kamins at Rice University. He also attended the University of Cincinnati/College-Conservatory of Music where he studied with William Winstead, and Appalachian State University where he studied with Jon Beebe. He performs regularly with the Alabama Symphony as Third Bassoon/Contrabassoon, and the New Hampshire Music Festival. In the past he has been a member of the Virginia Symphony and the Bergen Philharmonic, Norway.
