The CAHS Clarinet Workshops is a new program designed to help clarinetists prepare for success in auditions like those of the All State East Senior Clinic, as well as acquire the musical and technical skills to create a more rewarding experience in school ensembles. The sessions will meet once-a-week for twelve consecutive weeks (from Tuesday, September 29 through Tuesday, December 15) to tackle different aspects of playing the clarinet and general musicianship.
Each session will focus on refining technical and musical skills, such as:
- developing a tone concept
- improving range of dynamics
- acquiring and improving finger control and dexterity
- optimizing tonguing ability
- mastering articulation styles
Specific requirements for the ETSBOA Senior Clinic auditions will also be addressed, including:
- Practicing and mastering scales
- Learning prepared pieces
- Improving sight reading skills
- Dealing with performance related issues (nerves, etc.)
Parking is available in General (Yellow) Parking Lot 17, and Reserved (Blue) Parking Lots 10, 11 and 12. (See map)
