Mathematics Workshops
The UTC Mathematics Department will introduce two new workshops for area teachers this year. These workshops are funded through the Tennessee Higher Education Commission (THEC) as part of the Improving Teacher Quality (ITQ) program.
Topics covered in these two workshops include: extensive coverage of the new state curriculum standards for mathematics, using EXPLORE (middle school) and PLAN (high school) tests to help students prepare for college, and learning new teaching methodologies that include the use of technology.
