Mathematics Workshops
The UTC Mathematics Department will continue to offer the Applications of Algebra and Statistics summer workshop for high school teachers and will introduce two new workshops for area teachers. These workshops are funded through the Tennessee Higher Education Commission (THEC) as part of the Improving Teacher Quality (ITQ) program.
Topics covered in the new workshops include: using results from the EXPLORE (middle school) and PLAN (high school) tests to help students prepare for college learning about the updated state curriculum requirements in math expanding content knowledge learning new teaching methodologies that include the use of technology
