UTC Mathematics/Blue Cross Blue Shield Poster Competition
Every year, the UTC Mathematics Department and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee sponsor a poster competition for area Middle and High School students. There is a $200 prize for 1st place, $100 prize for 2nd place and $50 prize for 3rd place in three divisions: Category 1 (grades 6-8), Category II (grades 9-10) and Category III (grades 11-12). The 5th Annual UTC Mathematics Poster Competition will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 in the Tennessee Room of the UTC University Center at 10am.
The poster competition theme for 2012 is: Change: Observing Change with Math or Statistics
Interested students should:
- Read over the official rules (PDF).
- Register online or Email to register
- Fill out a release form (PDF)*
- Present your prepared poster at UTC on Tuesday, April 10, 2012!
Additional Information
Parking passes will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis for registered students or groups. Vans and smaller vehicles can park in the parking deck once they have obtained a parking permit. (See parking deck on a map.) Busses will need to drop off passengers at the University Center and then park near Engel Stadium. (See UC drop-off point on a map.)
