Master of Science in Health and Human Performance: Physical Activity and Health
Admission:
You must submit the following materials to be considered for admission into the Health Promotion graduate program in HHP:
- Cover letter - include a statement indicating interest in physical activity and public health
- Three (3) professional letter of recomendation (at least two from university faculty)
- Resume/CV
- GRE score (>50th percentile)
- GPA > 3.0
The above criteria qualify an applicant for CONSIDERATION as a candidate, but do not gaurantee admission. Other factors, such as faculty advisee load, sustantive, and research math will also be considered for admission.
Curriculum:
36 total credit hours are required

- HHP 5xxx - Health Promotion Program Planning and Evaluation (3hrs)
- HHP 5xxx - Sedentary Behavior (3hrs)
- HHP 5220 - Health Behavior Change (3hrs)
- HHP 5370 - Community Nutrition (3hrs)
- HHP 5781r - Practicum in Physical Activity and Public Health (6hrs)
- HHP 5998r - Research (3hrs) or
- HHP 5999r - Thesis (6hrs)
- **Electives: up to 6 additional hours approved by Advisor and Committee
