The Department of Health & Human Performance has an opening at the Assistant Professor level in the Undergraduate and Graduate Exercise Science program. DHHP exists to educate and train students, conduct and translate research, and provide service in the areas of physical activity, preventive and rehabilitative exercise, nutrition, and health promotion. These activities engage the University and the community for the purpose of enhancing health, performance, and improved quality of life among all people. Position:
Assistant Professor of Health & Human Performance
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) invites applications and nominations for a tenure track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. The successful applicant will show evidence of an ability to teach courses in the Undergraduate and Graduate Exercise Science program with specific training in either health psychology/behavioral science dealing with chronic health challenges such as obesity, drug/alcohol, smoking, physical activity and sedentary behaviors. Candidates must have a working knowledge of ACSM standards in their respective specialization. Candidate would be expected to collaborate and engage in the community and develop a research agenda and seek grant opportunities in their respective fields. Preference will be given to candidates holding ACSM, NSCA or National Strength and Conditioning certification.
