Victor Keihan Rodrigues Matsudo,MD

is a physician with specialty training in orthopedics, traumatology, and sports medicine. Dr. Matsudo is a Professor of Medicine with the University Gama Filho in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Since 1974 he has been associated with and is the current President of Physical Fitness Research at the Center of São Caetano do Sul – CELAFISCS, where he also serves as the Director of Biologic Science in the Municipal Institute of Education - IMES – São Caetano do Sul - São Paulo. He is the 1992 winner of the Olympic International Prize in Sports Medicine awarded at the time of the Barcelona Olympics. In 1995 he was the winner of the International “Philip Noël Baker ” award in Sports Medicine
and in 1996 the winner of the International Prince Faisal Prize of the International Federation of Physical Education.
