Who Can Participate?
Any faculty, staff, and student interested in participating regardless of their current level of physical activity. Each participant can set their own goals depending on the initial level of fitness. The Challenge is unique in that it offers the same level of success to the newcomer as it does to the well-trained athlete.
What To Do:
- Fill out a player registration packet, if you do not already have a team you will be assigned one.
- Track your points and participation using the Physical Activity Logs
- Report your point totals to your Team Captain
- Participate in the Bonus Activities to increase your awards eligibility
Guidelines:
- 10 minutes of moderate to vigorous activity = 1 point
- Minimum Points Daily: 3 pts (30 minutes)
- Maximum Points Daily: 9 pts (90 minutes)
- Challenge is participation based
- Physical activity should be moderate to vigorous in intensity. This includes activities such as brisk-walking, cycling, dancing, tennis, jogging, or any activity that makes you work as hard or harder than brisk-walking.
- For each week that you meet the minimum physical activity requirements, your name will be added to the Celebration Awards entries.
- For each Bonus Activity you complete, an additional entry in your name will be added to the Celebration Awards entries.
- Throughout the Challenge, multiple Celebration Awards will be given to participants maintaining minimum physical activity requirements.
- Maintain your Minimum Physical Activity Requirements and keep in touch with your Team Captain.
