Campus Visits

Campus Visit Dates for 2008-2009.

-TBA
*Campus visits are limited to 10 students with priority to those who meet the early admission criteria.

Campus visits are a very important part of our recruitment process. However, they are only required if you want to be eligible for the early admission period. The visit gives you the opportunity to talk with each of the faculty members on a one-to-one basis and to see the facilities and campus. It also gives us the chance to meet you and get to know you on a more personal level. There are several downtown hotels which are near campus and there also may be the opportunity to stay with students in the program.

Each visit will start on a Friday afternoon at 2:00 PM in McKenzie Arena room 217. We will spend some time touring the facilities and campus, and then you will rotate around and meet with each faculty member as well as the athletic training staff in short interviews. We usually end around 5:30 PM with pizza and snacks and some time to meet other students in the program..

We reconvene on Saturday morning at 10:00 AM in the McKenzie Arena for a continental breakfast. Some of our students may also be available to share their experiences in the program. Finally, we will come together where specific application information is reviewed, an overview of our programs at UTC is presented, and we finish with an open forum discussion including topics such as housing information, job opportunities, research requirements, financial concerns, financial aid, etc. We usually finish about 1:00 PM on Saturday.

Please come and visit our campus. We have found that it is an extremely valuable part of a student’s search for graduate school. If you are interested in participating in one of the campus visits, please EMAIL US at gatp@utc.edu and identify the campus visit weekend you want to attend. You must also complete the Online Applicant Information Form before requesting a campus visit.
