Todd Bullard
Head Athletic Trainer - Football


B.S. - University of West Alabama
M.S. - University of Mississippi

Mr. Bullard came to UT Chattanooga as the head athletic trainer in the summer of 2004. He was previously the head athletic trainer at Belhaven College in Jackson, MS. Professional interests include heat illness and labrum pathology.

 

 

 

 

 

Dr. Bryan R. Mayol
Head Team Physician

Dr. Mayol relocated to Chattanooga in July of 2009 for his position as Medical Director of Sports Medicine and University Health at Erlanger, and Head Team Physician for UTC.  He is also an Assistant Clinical Professor for the UT College of Medicine, and is board-certified in both Sports Medicine and Family Medicine.  He completed his Sports Medicine Fellowship training at Central Indiana Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in 2001, his Family Medicine Residency at St. Vincent’s in Indianapolis in 2000, and graduated from the Indiana University School of Medicine in 1997.  His undergraduate studies were at Indiana University in Bloomington.  For the past 2 years his practice was part of Minnesota Sports Medicine in Minneapolis, and prior to that he worked with an orthopedic practice in Indianapolis.  He was the Head Team Physician for Franklin College from 2002-2005, was Medical Director of the 2004 FINA World Swimming Championships, Assoc. Medical Director of the 2002 FIBA World Basketball Championships, and was a Venue Medical Supervisor at the 2002 Winter Olympic Games.  He is a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, the American College of Sports Medicine, and the American Academy of Family Physicians.  He treats patients of all ages for muscle, bone, and joint problems from head to toe, and medical conditions affecting athletes.  He has a special interest in the treatment of chronic tendon disorders.  His office is at University Health Services at Erlanger.

 

 


Michael Booi
Assistant Athletic Trainer - Wrestling/M&W Tennis

B.S. - Michigan State University
M.S. - University of Kentucky

Mr. Booi joined the UT Chattanooga staff in July of 2009 after earning a Master’s degree in Athletic Training from the University of Kentucky. At Kentucky he worked with the Wildcat’s football program for two years as a graduate assistant athletic trainer.  Prior to his graduate assistantship Mike attended Michigan State University where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a specialization in Athletic Training.

Mackenzie McDonald

Mr. McDonald came to UT Chattanooga as a graduate assistant in the Graduate Athletic Training Program in the summer of 2004. He was hired as the Assistant Athletic Trainer responsible for Men’s Basketball in the summer of 2006. A veteran of the United States Army, he has also completed an internship with the Colorado Rapids. Professional interests include evidence-based medicine and ankle biomechanics.

 

 

 

Jessica Tanner

Ms. Tanner joined the UT Chattanooga staff in August 2008 following a graduate assistantship at Auburn University, where she earned her Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration with a minor in Sports Management.  At Auburn she worked with the men’s and women’s track and field teams as well as the men’s and women’s golf teams. Prior to her graduate assistantship at Auburn Jess attended James Madison University where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training.
