Admission Deadlines and Information
Admission into the Graduate Athletic Training Education Program is highly competitive (see applicant evaluation). Priority is given to applicants who qualify for the early admission period (see below)
Please use the application checklist to ensure all materials are submitted to the correct location.
Early Admission Policy and Deadline
Applicants may be offered early admission into the Athletic Training Education Program if they meet ALL of the following criteria:
- Have a complete graduate school admission folder
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater
- Receive a score above the early acceptance level on the applicant review form
- Attend one of the on-campus weekend visits
*We will review completed applications before March 10 of only those applicants who attended a campus visit and qualify for early admission. Applicants who cannot attend a campus visit due to extenuating circumstances may also be eligible for application review.
The early admission option is a "rolling admission" process so that a student may be offered a position anytime before March 09.
Regular Admission Deadline
All completed applications received after February 1 and those applicants who were not able to qualify for early admission will be reviewed on/after March 10. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed. Any remaining positions will be offered after the March 10th deadline to qualified applicants.
Alternate List
Some applicants may be placed on the alternate list. Alternates may be selected for acceptance after March 30.
