The application process for the 2009-10 academic year has been closed.  The application process for the 2010-2011 academic year will open sometime around Labor Day 2009.  If you desire to apply to our program in the future, be sure to examine the list of pre-requisites and other program requirements so that you are in the best position to succeed.

Master of Science in Health and Human Performance: Athletic Training

The Athletic Training Education Program at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga is designed for students who have a bachelor's degree and a desire to pursue BOC certification. We are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE), and have held accreditation status since 2003.  We had a successful site visit in October and anticipate continual accreditation by CAATE.

The Athletic Training Education Program has submitted a proposal to become a stand alone degree, designated as a Master of Science in Athletic Training.  This proposal has successfully passed all local levels of approval as well as approval from the University of Tennessee, Board of Trustees.  We anticipate a successful review by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission in January, 2009, and full implementation the Fall of 2009.
