APPLICATION PROCESS SET TO CLOSE!

Attention potential applicants: The application process for the incoming class of 2012 will close to all new applicants on Friday, February 3, 2012.  Any candidates that have already applied to the UTC GATEP will be permitted to continue to submit application materials. New applications will not be accepted or considered after February 3rd.

 

 

  • The UTC Graduate Athletic Training Education Program (GATEP) is an Entry-level Program.  You will earn a        Master of Science degree in Athletic Training

 

EducationalPortals.com RECOGNIZES UTC AS ONE OF THE BEST SPORTS MEDICINE PROGRAMS IN THE COUNTRY!

A recent report by EducationalPortals.com that will become part of a feature in the USA Today recognizes UTC as being one of the 20 Best Sports Medicine Schools in the United States.  Of the programs listed,  the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga's Athletic Training Education Program is the only Entry-level Master's Program highlighted.  By region, UTC is one of only four (4) schools in the southeast region of the United States that were on the "Best of" list. 

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our clinical instructors, administrators, medical directors and most importantly our students (both current and past students), for the continued support and contributions to the program's success.

The Graduate Athletic Training Program is located in the Department of Health and Human Performance, within the  College of Health, Education and Professional Studies. 

  • The Graduate Athletic Training Education Program at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga is designed for students who have a bachelor's degree and a desire to pursue BOC certification. We are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). We have held accreditation status since 2003 and had a successfully completed the re-accreditation process in 2009.
