Millennial Generation: Fact and Fiction
As members of the "Millennial Generation," today's university students have become popular targets of broad, conflicting generalizations, being labeled everything from bright multitasking do-gooders to barely literate narcissists. In this course, students will weigh the evidence for such generalizations and gather their own evidence by developing and conducting a survey of UTC students. While exploring what it means to be Millennial, students will also learn how social research powerfully shapes, sharpens, and distorts the way we perceive others and ourselves.

About the professor
Dr. Horne teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in public policy, public administration, and research methods. His research examines the relationships between public policy and the nonprofit sector. He's a member of another oft maligned generation, Generation X.
