Snake Oil2Replace Gasoline
Is gasoline too expensive? Is there a cheaper alternative? Are you afraid of the US running out of gasoline? When you buy gasoline that “contains 10% Ethanol,” are you being ripped off? We will look at the truth and fiction [snake oil (noun) A worthless preparation fraudulently peddled as a cure for many ills] of all the gasoline replacements that are being discussed: Hydrogen, Natural Gas, Ethanol from corn, Ethanol from algae, BioDiesel, Fuel cells, Hydrogen-on-demand, Electric cars, Solar cars, etc. During the semester we will build a web site to spread what we learn http://SnakeOil2ReplaceGasoline.pbwiki.com/

Note: Please check the schedule of classes for the most up-to-date information about meeting times, locations, and availability.
