Shakespeare in Love
The course will be an exploration of love and romance in the plays of William Shakespeare on the stage and the screen. The plays explored include: Romeo and Juliet, Taming of the Shrew, Othello, and Hamlet. Students will both read and watch both classical and contemporary excerpts of these plays during the course of the semester.

About the professor
Dr. Jeff Elwell, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, is a published playwright and experienced director who has worked in both the academic and professional theatre. Among the plays he has directed are Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew and Othello.
