Globalization: Good or Bad?
You have heard about how Wal-Mart and China steal jobs; maybe someone in your family has lost a job due to foreign competition. This class will consider both pros (cheap stuff) and cons (lost jobs) of globalization. Do you know how it might effect your education and career in this "flat world?" Find out this semester.

About the professor
Richard Rice teaches world history and Asian history (Japan and China) and has a strong interest in the history and economics of what we now call "globalization." He likes to look at labels to see where things are made. Latest discovery: Mango juice from the United Arab Republic.
