Behind the Scenes of Before the Show Opens
Conversations with arts professionals – museum directors, curators, stage directors, painting and sculpture studios, touring show producers, promoters, recording engineers, symphony and opera concert managers, conductors, board members, etc. -- and visits to venues, rehearsals, and shows.
This course is tentatively scheduled to meet on Tuesdays at 3:05 p.m.

About the professor
Roland Carter, an acclaimed arranger, pianist, and conductor, is the Ruth S. Holmberg Professor of American Music. He is recognized for his work as an arts advocate and has served on boards and panels for state, regional, and national arts organizations. Instructional courses include ear training, sight singing, conducting, piano, chorus (UTC Men’s Chorus) and Survey of African American Music.
