Learning Communities

As you start UTC, you may have some apprehension about meeting new people and adjusting to college, both its academic and social aspects. Being in a learning community with twenty other students will give you the opportunity to meet other students who may have similar interests and also professors who are excited to being teaching and learning with you. You’ll be having out of class activities, study groups, and other opportunities which your group and professors want. Meeting new people and making new friends right at the beginning of college are great reasons to joining a living learning community! We hope you will sign up now before the communities are filled!

Here are the Learning Communities you can choose from:

  1. Leadership: Nature or Nurture (Students will live in Johnson Obear Apartments)
  2. A History of Hip Hop (Students will live in Lockmiller Apartments)
  3. "The Office" and Beautiful Bureaucracy (Students will live in the Walker Apartments)
  4. Popular Culture & Philosophy: What can Homer Simpson teach me about Socrates? (Students will live in the Walker Apartments)

Fill out and submit the form below to sign up. Please note that all fields are required.
