UTC Policy on Advanced Placement (AP) Credit for English Courses (effective January 2005)
Advanced Placement—English Literature
- Score of 4 or 5 = Credit for English 2230 and 2130 (6 hours)
- Score of 3 plus English ACT subscore of 24 or better = Credit for ENGL 2230 or 2130 (3 hours only)
Advanced Placement—English Language and Composition
- Score of 4 or 5 = Credit for English 1010 and 1020 (6 hours)
- Score of 3 plus English ACT subscore of 24 or better = Credit for English 1010 (3 hours)
NOTE: Transfer students who have received different kinds of credit at another institution will be reviewed individually.
