What is Engineering Technology Management:
Engineering Technology Management (ETM) is an interdisciplinary form of management and engineering involving the application of engineering principles to business practice. Engineering management is a career that brings together the technological problem-solving savvy of engineers and the organizational, administrative, and planning abilities of managers to oversee complex enterprises from conception to completion such as product development, manufacturing, construction, etc.

Two Concentrations:
Students in the ETM program will choose one of two concentrations that best suites their desired career goals.
Program Mission:
The mission of the Engineering Technology Management (ETM) program at UTC is to provide accessible education in the principles and application of technology management, while preparing students to understand and be productive in the work environment.
Program Objectives:
In support of this mission, graduates of the ETM program will be able to:
- Apply fundamental principles of planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills in various industries;
- Provide valued services in technial, supervisory, and managment positions in both technical and non-technical industries;
- Appreciate the need for, and to pursue, life-long learning opportunities and continuous professional development.
Online Lecture Archives:
All Engineering Technology Management courses offered through the Engineering Management and Technology department are recorded and archived to UTC Online, allowing students to review lectures from the convenience of their computer. The courses are delivered using a combination of Blackboard and the Mediasite System, which allows the instructor to broadcast the class both on a real-time basis and archive each lecture for later use.
College of Engineering and Computer Science Building
Housing the ETM program is the Engineering, Mathmatics, and Computer Science building. Built in 2003 at a cost of 28 million dollars, the 200,000 square foot building features state-of-the-art classrooms, auditoriums, computational laboratory facilities, advanced teaching resources, and research facilities.
