Pressure Display

The idea of having a pressure display was explored early in the project. The result, due to time and budget constraints, was a simple readout of the pressure inside the tank at any given moment. This would be mounted on the dash so the operator of the vehicle would have an idea of how much fuel was left in the tank. Shown here is a schematic of the pressure and temperature display that will be integrated into the vehicle. This also shows how to assemble the system.

Below is a technical drawing of the pressure display. This is an eDrawings file and requires a quick download. If you are using Internet Explorer 5.0 or newer, click the yellow bar at the top of the screen and click run ActiveX. Once it is downloaded click the green arrow(play) to see different views of the display.

To mount the pressure and temperature display in the vehicle, the stock CD player was removed. The pressure is shown in Psi and the temperature is displayed in degrees Fahrenheit.

                                       Pressure Transducer

This is the 0-5000psig pressure transducer. It is specially manufactured for use with high pressure gases.
